With cooler weather seemingly settled in and AC off, am folding my slower i7 also to boost total points. This is my laptop, joining my faster desktop. No AC bill to worry about when weather stays cool.

Given that Stanford's Folding@Home is cutting back on points/WU for what now gets assigned to 8 np Intel machines on average, by cutting out beta WUs for those processors, I am running only my fastest 8 np machine for Folding. The slower machine (my laptop) just is not getting enough PPD to justify the additional air conditioning costs and direct laptop power costs for it to run at full load all the time in hotter weather. During winter here I may again Fold on slower laptop, as weather during that season is cool enough to not run air conditioning and thus electric bill is lower.
